Riley ███████ was born in New York and grew up in an extremely religious household . His father being a Catholic priest , they followed the typical beliefs to an extreme extent . His whole childhood , Riley was in religious schooling and often caused issues for the nuns and his father . Often getting a ruler to his left hand whenever he acted in ways that weren’t deemed “appropriate”. Sometimes , an extreme amount . Despite being deemed a “trouble maker” Riley was an extremely smart and bright child . Always asking questions , finding the answers when adults wouldn’t tell him , easily could have all A+’s but found it all too pointless , noticing things others didn’t , how adult's expressions would shift just slightly whenever they lied . too bright , his dad would say .he had a mom too . She was the only adult he liked . she never yelled , never got annoyed when he’d ask too many questions , spoke to him like a person , never hurt him . she was however , incredibly sick and bedridden most days . his father , would refuse to call the doctors , saying “god will make it all right” or “this is part of his plan” . riley grew to hate that phrase .At the age of seven , his mom passed away . he read a lot of medical books after that . books a kid his age typically wouldn’t be able to . according to the books he’d read at the local library , he believes his mom had cancer . life threatening , but caught soon enough , could have possibly been avoided .After his mother’s passing , Riley’s behavior only worsened and eventually grew into self isolation and resentment towards anything related to Christianity . besides one thing ; he has a fondness for the virgin mary , she is a mother after all . the rest of riley’s childhood continued on that path , his father’s treatment towards him only getting worse as well , but nothing really changed . it seemed like his father didn’t even really care about her passing .around the age of 13 , things drastically got worse . this was around the time riley discovered he might not just like girls , he still thought they were pretty … but he noticed strange feelings and thoughts he’d have about some of the other boys in his class . it terrified him at first . his father and the nuns explicitly spoke of how sinful those kinds of thoughts were .throughout his teenage years , his father got more and more aware of his son’s absences from school and home . especially , how much he’d spend at the neighbors house . riley would just mention something about him being a friend . which in itself was odd , riley didn’t exactly have friends . unfortunately , at the age of sixteen , riley’s father found out about his relationship with the neighbor boy . riley was instantly kicked out . his “friend’s” parents told him never to speak to their son again .riley is homeless for about a year , doing questionable things for money and to convince strangers to let him stay at their place . around 17 he came across Malachi , a 29 year old who worked for other people who worked for other people and so on . shady blackmarket stuff . Malachi gave him an offer ; work for him , get a place to live , food to eat and exceedingly well pay . riley accepted .the two later developed a sexual relationship . Riley viewed him as a partner , Malachi viewed him as property . their relationship wasn’t an official thing , even if riley wished it to be . the both would be with other people as well during this . it wasn’t by any means a healthy relationship , but riley didn’t seem to notice how bad it was . even developed a form of dependency on the guy . This is also around when Riley’s drug use started . he was around drugs almost constantly , making them , smuggling them , selling them . it was hard not to .along with helping with drug production , this was when Riley truly started his career as a back alley doctor . primarily to patch up Malachi and others the worked for who HE worked for . but the pay was GREAT . and no schooling was needed . suddenly the kid that never graduated highschool , magically had a doctorates at the age of like 19 . and an id that said he was 2 years older than he actually was … and a last name that wasn’t his real one … but that was neither here nor there . his dream of being a doctor was somewhat fulfilled ?life went on . due to his connections with Malachi , riley got into many MANY situations . almost dying on multiple accounts . the bullet wound right on his forehead being the one most were surprised he came back from . yet , he somehow did . about 23 at this point , that specific near death experience , kind of messed riley up . a lot . sudden sparks of confusion and irritation , became more impulsive than he use to be , memory issues , occasional seizures , minor difficulty with speech at times , some fine motor issues with his left side (specifically in left arm/hand) , migraines , etc . his drug addiction got to an extreme level at this point too , as a way to cope with all these symptoms . there’s now hardly ever a moment where he isn’t under some kind of influence , typically multiple at once .nothing got better or changed much outside of that , just kinda continued on . that was until Malachi died about two years ago . riley doesn’t talk about it . if you ask about it , he’ll only get irritated . he’s still unsure how he feels about it , but it’s clearly affected him deeply .now 26 , riley still works for who malachi worked for . He knows his name now at least . Rowland . He’s free to do his own thing , as well . but whenever he’s needed , Rowland and his guys come first .

...Three Replies. i try my best to match reply styles and am overall okay with any kind of threads . sexual themes , while completely not the focus of this account , can possibly happen on tl , but can be moved to dms if preferred . I’d like to avoid that for both our sakes .Unless it’s something permanent and would alter how i write Riley (please plot those kind of things out with me) your muse is free to harm Riley in anyway .Also would like people to understand that Riley IS mentally and physically impaired ( fine motor issues in left arm/hand ) specifically due to TBI , it was mentioned in the backstory , but i know not everyone fully reads through those . Riley has brain damage after getting shot , and that comes with A LOT of neurological issues and often outbursts . This isn’t to defend his actions , but to let people know i don’t plan to dim down those tendencies . It is also the leading cause of his drug addiction .Despite how long this was , i don’t actually have many rules , i just like to make my boundaries as clear as possible , and i like to think I’m pretty friendly .
